northern Cobb segment; ROV Jason 2 dive in 2007 ended due to time constraints - surveyed area inactive; NEMO 2007 cruise report says "active venting had been photographed by camera tows"; various Fe silicate (nontronite) & Mn oxide crust deposits on off-axis seamounts and along fault boundaries (Cobb Offset)
