Montserrat Springs Offshore Vent Field
Notes on Vent Field Description:
Cronan et al. (1996): "offshore hydrothermal springs there, unlike those onshore, exhibit long-term compositional variations an order of magnitude greater than those occurring during an observed, short lived, volcanic event"; Cronan et al. (1997) map shows vents within 100 m of shoreline
Notes Relevant to Biology:
Year and How Discovered (if active, visual confirmation is listed first):
1996 or earlier (assume SCUBA)
